Mărimea și grafica acestui joc au fost impresionante în ziua sa, și sa lăudat un mecanic de timp. Limitările au fost totuși evidente încă de la început; nu a durat mult timp pentru ca jucătorul să plictisească un Thorin inevitabil sedentar cântând despre aur.
