XCOM 2: War of the Chosen este un expansion pentru mult îndrăgitul titlu XCOM 2, lansat în 2016. Acesta oferă un extensiv nou conținut în lupta împotriva ADVENT când facțiuni de rezistență formează un nou pact pentru a elimina extratereștrii ce amenință Pământul. Drept răspuns, un nou inamic, cunoscut sub numele de Chosen, apare cu un nou scop: să recapete Comandantul. Expansionul include un nouă clasă pentru a contracara puterea inamicilor, ce aceștia sunt și ei noi. Totodată sunt disponibile și noi misiuni, medii înconjurătoare și un gameplay puternic strategic orientat.
